Phil Mickelson Attempts a Shot Where Only Happy Gilmore Would Dare

Call it cinematic deja vu? Maybe since its the Pro-Am Phil Mickelson decided he would do something a little different, like try to channel his best Happy Gilmore Saturday during the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

He might have been inspired by Bill Murray who was sporting a pretty interesting get up this week. What funnier moment could there be that mainstream America would know other than a scene from Happy Gilmore?

After hitting his ball into the rocks at the 18th hole he went after it (those things are expensive you know). Before he could pretend to battle an alligator or dive in after his ball he slipped and landed pretty hard on his rump.

By the looks of it I don't think he was in a mood to fight Bob Barker after taking that hit on his rear.

  2. Hmmm...I see what you mean. I was going more for the location of the attempted shot here than the actual shot; didn't think about how you see it (although I do see what you mean). I'll be more cognizant of this in the future. I find it annoying to so I don't want to do it.
