Ben Howland, the UCLA head basketball coach, gave reporters some information that they knew, but were not expecting to be confirmed until after the NCAA tournament. Following the team's 74-69 win over No. 11 Arizona he told the world that his star player was going pro.
When asked about his coach's comments Shabazz laughed them off and said eh was glad to be at UCLA. As nice as that was for him to say it would be a shock to see him in school next season.
If high school players were still allowed to enter the draft he would have been drafted pretty high in the last draft. Currently projections him going in the top three.
Howland later tried to clarify his comments by stating that he was not making an announcement for Shabazz, but was just being honest. Since honesty is the best policy...
