Long time Atlanta Hawks fans will remember watching Mookie Blaylock work his magic on the hardcourt for them back in the 90s. He could certainly use some of that magic now as he fights for his life following a car accident on Friday.
Blaylock is on life support after getting into an accident on Friday when his car crossed over the median and into oncoming traffic. It is not known why he veered off into the other lane at this time. The two people travelling in the car he hit were inured; one is said to be suffering from internal bleeding.
The 46-year old former baller has been out of the league since 2002. During his playing days he was an All-Star once (1994), NBA All-Defensive first team twice ('94 and '95), NBA All-Defensive second team four times ('95-'99), and led the league in steels twice ('97 and '98).
Best wised on a speedy recovery Mookie.
