Yasiel Puig Gives Dodgers Just What They Needed With Huge Offensive Night

When the Dodger spent a small fortune to sign Yasiel Puig they felt confident that they were getting the next great player in the young Cuban defector. He proved that in his first game Monday night when he caught a deep fly ball and then threw a rocket to first for a game ending double play.

Tuesday night he showed off his offensive prowess--and show it off he did!

Puig was a one man wrecking crew collecting three hits in four at-bats with two home runs and five RBIs to lead the Dodgers to a 9-7 win.

After going 2-4 Monday night his batting average is .625 and he has an OPS of 2.125.

Yeah, it's going to go down eventually, but it is still one heck of a start!
