One of the latest happens to be.a member of the Indianapolis Colts-- tight end Weslye Saunders.
Saunders was hit with an eight game suspension since this is his second violation. The former South Carolina product was picked up by the Pittsburgh Steelers last season as a undrafted free agent in 2011. He did manage to make the roster, but was used little during the season catching four balls for 29 yards and one touchdown.
He ended up getting hit with a four-game suspension for violating the PED policy to start the 2012 season. They ended up cutting him October 12. Indianapolis picked him on October 17, but they didn't end up using him much either (two catches, 15 yards).
For a player that is on the bubble to make the roster anyway this could be the nail in the coffin for his time with the Colts. Going into training camp the Colts will not want to waste a roster spot on someone that can't play till November. It would be smarter to give someone else a look and see if they can be a contributor....
