Robert Griffin III's reign as the No. 1 selling jersey in the NFL is over. Now he is still one of the top selling jerseys in the league and was from April 1, 2012, through March 31 of this year. Since then someone else--a couple guys actually have bested the Redskins superstar.
Any guesses as to who?
The honor now belongs to this guy:
From April through June the 49ers QB jersey has been the most popular one according to sales at NFL.com. After becoming the man for San Francisco last season he rose up to No. 4. After a solid playoff run sales for his No. 7 jersey continued to grow till it became the best seller in the league.
Following him is another popular, young QB that rose from obscurity last season to become a starter, Seattle Seahawks Russell Wilson. RG3 comes in at No. 3, Adrian Peterson No. 4, and Peyton Manning rounds out the top five at No. 5.
You mean after 16 years there are still people that don't have a Peyton Manning jersey? I guess at this point they could have worn out their old one and need a new one...
