Top 3 Spurs that need to Improve—Pronto

The Spurs haven’t made many changes to the roster, so they will need their young players to make significant strides next season.

The San Antonio Spurs had a modest off-season so far; they kept the team together that got them to the NBA Finals. The team is starting to resemble the 2003 championship Spur team because of the mixture of veterans and young stars on the roster.

Just like that epic season the Spurs must put their faith into younger stars to get them back to the NBA Finals. In 2003 it was a young Manu Ginobili, Stephen Jackson, and Tony Parker—who will it be next season?

3) Danny Green

- Green had a coming out party in the NBA Finals a couple months back but it wasn’t enough to win the trophy. His dazzling performance from the three-point line (55%) fizzled out in the last couple games. Green was exposed by the Miami Heat’s defense.

- Green has to improve on other parts of his offensive game, starting with driving and finishing at the basket. His ball-handling in the Finals was very sub-par. He could also benefit from shooting a mid-range jumper every now then....
