Are the Texas Rangers Letting the Season Slip Away Again?

The division lead is gone and their hold on a wildcard spot is slim. Can the Texas Rangers turn it around? Or will it be just like last year?

There is only one problem with winning. When you do it often enough fans expect you to keep doing it. For six seasons winning has become the norm rather than the exception win Arlington. So when the Texas Rangers flopped towards the end of last season fans were not happy.

Here it is the final month of the 2013 season, and it looks like the team is letting the season slip away again.

Tuesday night’s 7-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays saw the Rangers put an end to a seven game slide that saw the team go from division leader to six games behind the Oakland A’s and barely holding on to a wild card spot.

The team was in a similar position last season when it dropped seven of its last nine including five to the Oakland A’s—the eventual division winner....
