Richard Sherman to Colin Kapernick: U Mad Bro?

Trash talk is an immature side of football, but since the NFL is doing what it can to put an end to the fun on the field (strict celebration rules, ending throwbacks, making everything except scoring a touchdown subject to a fine) we'll take it.

And no one in the NFL today is better at it than Seattle Seahawks defensive back Richard Sherman.

Sherman and his trash talking ability made headlines last season when he and Tom Brady had a little tif. This season he has set his sights on another quarterback--San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick.

To be fair, Kaepernick did fire the first shot when he said that he thought the Seahawks got away with a lot of things on defense. Never one to let any perceived slight go, Sherman had a response for ole Kap that is really kind of hard to argue with:

“We got away with three picks, two fumbles, five turnovers,” Sherman said. “We got away with a 29-3 victory, it looked like. That’s the way it looked to me.”

When it comes down to it there is no better trash talk than the truth. Whatever Kaepernick or anyone else thinks the fact of the matter is the Seahawks defense dominated the 49ers.

And you need to do a lot more than 'get away with a few things' to do that.
