Tennessee Titans QB Jake Locker Likely to Miss 4-8 Weeks

Right when things started to appear as if they were getting on track for the Tennessee Titans their quarterback of the future, Jake Locker, gets injured.

Go ahead Titans fans. Curse up a storm.

During Sunday's romp over the hapless Jets Titans QB Jake Locker took a pair of hard hits; one knocking him into another Jets defender. As he goes down he grabs his hip--not a good sign.

The team has yet to release any official word on the extent of his injury, but so far the belief is that he could miss anywhere from 4-8 weeks. X-rays on the hip were negative (a good sign), but the team had him stay overnight in the hospital for observation and further testing.

Prior to getting knocked out of the game Locker had gone 18-24 for 149 yards and three touchdowns. Ryan Fitzpatrick finished the game, but went just 3-8 for 108 yards and a touchdown.

No injury is a good thing, but what really sucks is that Locker had appeared to finally be coming into his own this season. On the season he has completed 62.2 percent of his passes for 721 yards and six touchdowns while leading the team to a 3-1 record and a tie with the Indianapolis Colts on top of the AFC South.
