Texas and Texas A&M Possibly Facing Coaching Changes

They are the two biggest programs in Texas, going in two different directions, and yet both could be facing coaching changes at season’s end.



Mack Brown is one of the most successful coaches in recent history. From 1998-2010, a span of 192 weeks, his Longhorns were ranked in the Coach’s Poll. For nine straight seasons (2001-09) he led Texas to 10+ wins.

The man knows a thing or two about recruiting and guiding teams to victory, but over the last few seasons he seems to have lost his magic.

Kevin Sumlin is one of the rising stars in college football. For four seasons he quietly guided some of the most high-powered offenses in recent college football history in Houston. In one season with Texas A&M he has lifted the ‘other’ college team in Texas up.

The Aggies under Sumlin have become the team in Texas and a national title contender, and there is a chance that he and Mack Brown could be coaching somewhere else next season (or not at all)....
