Baylor Bears-- National Title Contenders?

It was not that long ago that Baylor was the kind of team schools wanted to schedule for homecoming, but that is not the case anymore.

Art Briles had to be crazy to go from a good University of Houston team to one of the worst programs in the nation, the Baylor Bears. With the Cougars he had a good program on the rise, but in Baylor he had one that couldn’t remember what it was like to be a winner.

It took him a few years, but he has completely changed the culture in Waco and the perception that college football fans have of the Baylor program. They are no longer the doormats of the FBS. Some have even started to call them national title contenders.

Wait—what? Baylor? A national title hopeful? As crazy as it sounds there are more and more that think it’s true.

After three games the Bears have averaged over 700 yards of offense and 69 points a game (easily the No. 1 offense in the nation). The defense isn’t half bad either (No. 15 in the nation). But a national title contender?.... read the full post follow the link to MVPTexas!
