Carlos Beltran Comes Up Big in Game 1 of the NLCS

It's a good thing Game 1 of the NLCS was played on a Friday night. I can't imagine folks staying up to watch all 13 innings and still have to get up in the morning!

Those that stayed up to enjoy the game Friday night were treated to a great performance by Cardinals outfielder Carlos Beltran and the rest of the boys from St. Louis.

Beltran was a busy guy for sure. There was the two-run double in the third to tie the game at 2-2. Later when the game went to extra innings he made a monster throw from right field to help turn a double play and get the out at home.

To top the night off he hit a walk-off single in the 13th inning knocking one run in giving the Cardinals the win in Game 1.

Game 2 will be Saturday afternoon at 4:07 PM ET.
