Jon Lester Proves he is More Than Just an Awesome Pitcher

There are some pitchers that are only good for pitching and that is about it. If they are good enough at that teams can work around their other shortcomings, i.e. fielding or hitting. Boston Red Sox pitcher Jon Lester does not have any of those shortcomings.

Well--his hitting is not the greatest, but no one expects a pitcher to do anything at the plate (especially in the American League). His fielding here is not the best either, but the man is clutch. Had he just bobbled it and let it go folks would have just chalked it up as an unfortunate error.

Instead he recovers from the bobble and executes a spot-on scoop toss to Mike Napoli for the out.

Nice job Mr. Lester.
