Seattle Seahawks Kicker Steven Hauschka Knows How to Take One For the Team

You would think that being a part of one of the best teams in the NFL would be the greatest thing ever--especially for the kickers, the placekicker and the punter. You only have to actually do something for just a few plays every game, you get played really well, and if all goes according to plan no one ever touches you.

However, sometimes things don't always go according to plan.

So when you are on a team as good as Seattle is the expectations are a little higher, and with the kind of environment that Pete Carroll fosters it is not surprising to see the kickers be more willing to step and make a big stop.

Or should I say try to.

Against Tennessee it was place kicker Steven Hauschka that got absolutely trucked right over (see above). I'm not sure what's worse, that one or the hit the punter took against Indianapolis last week.
