After winning Game One and Two of the NLCS in St. Louis the Cardinals received a harsh reminder that there was another really good team in this series when the Dodgers shut them out 3-0 in Game Three Monday night in LA--and couple of the Cardinals are not real happy with how the Dodgers did it
Adam Wainwright wasn't too fond of either Gonzalez or Puig after the game and went as far to refer to Gonzalez's little celebration as being Mickey Mouse like; a description that Gonzo was more than happy with:
"We are in LA, so the Mickey Mouse stuff does go."
Carlos Beltran wasn't too keen on Yasiel Puig's premature home run celebration:
"As a player, I just think he doesn't know [about how to act]," Beltran said. "That's what I think. He really doesn't know. He must think that he's still playing somewhere else....
Comments like Beltran's are nothing new in regards to Puig. Players--even his teammates--have said they think he needs to calm down some and exercise some more control. If the Cardinals want him to do so. however, they might want to stop throwing bats at people.
Or maybe the Cards just need to be reminded that it is a game that people do get pretty passionate about. You could make an argument that the Dodgers could play with a little more class. You could also say that the Cardinals need to loosen up and remember how blessed they are to get paid ridiculous amounts of cash to play a game.
