Vince Young Tweets: I'm Ready Houston!

It's been tough for the Houston Texans this season. Longtime quarterback Matt Schaub has struggled tremendously. After he was injured (which the crowd cheered wildly for) T.J.Yates came on and continued the trend Schaub started and threw an interception that was returned 98-yards for a touchdown.

Punter Shane Lechler is the No. 3 QB for the Texans so the team is stuck with Yates today, but what about the future? One guy is ready, willing and waiting to help...

Former Texas Longhorns star, native Texan, and currently out of work quarterback Vince Young took to Twitter to let the fans and teams know that he would be quite happy to help the team out:

He is getting some support too:

The word on Young was that he had a good camp with the Packers, but they didn't feel he was able to pick up the playbook fast enough; granted-- he was having to learn it on the fly which can't be easy.

This kind of thing is going to be just like the love that Tim Tebow gets from the Jacksonville Jaguars fans. Yeah, it would be great to have a home town kid behind center to help drive ticket sales, but making the move is akin to saying the season is done and we just want to make sure we make a little money now.

Than again, with the way the other Houston quarterbacks are throwing interceptions for touchdowns playing them is tanking the season too.
