If you misses the SEC Championship game you misses one incredible display of offensive firepower. Between the two teams there was over 1200 yards of offense and 13 touchdowns! Of that production almost 800 of it came on the ground!
When you have that kind of production on the ground there is bound to be a record or two broken in the process. Auburn running back Tre Mason was more than happy to do the honors there.
With 46 carries on the night he set a new SEC Championship record with 304 yards on the ground and four touchdowns. His team's total of 677 yards set a new team record.
Auburn would go on to win the game and the conference championship 59-42. This means that the team went from last place without a single conference win last season to conference champions headed to the national championship game this season.
Not bad Auburn. Not bad at all.
